The smartphone market has some tough competition. Everyone from the iPhone to the Android is competing to dominate the market. However, there can only be one smartphone at the top of the market, and lately the dominating smartphone is the Android.


Smartphone users choose the Android OS over competitors because of the vast number of features and uses that comes with choosing this type of phone. Here’s a look at some of the features that have helped make the Android the dominating force on the smartphone market.

Androids are known throughout the smartphone industry for offering the best graphics. Many smartphones tend to have blocky, unclear photos, but the Android is known for providing clear, high-def photos and images.

The Android Tablet provides users with a web-browsing experience that is similar to surfing the web on a PC. This ability to provide a faster, smoother web browsing experience for users is why the Android is top of the smartphone market.

Part of the fun of owning a smartphone is the ability to download some great apps that help your smartphone do a number of really cool things. Anyone with an Android has access to some the most popular apps on the smartphone market. Many of the apps are customized just for the Android so they all work really well with the smartphone.

With features like better graphics, fast web browsing, and access to the latest apps it’s no surprise that the Android is top of the smartphone market.

A screen is sleeping — its corners dark, its functions lost. All commands are ignored; all keystrokes are futile. A computer instead remains idle, with its information trapped within a hard-drive, unable to be released. And you are… furious, cursing a monitor, threatening to toss it away. The troubleshooting techniques that were promised to never fail have offered no results. No application can be accessed. All functions seem instead to be lost.

They’re not — they simply must be started once more.

Computers are complex collections of wires and signal transfers. It is an all too easy thing therefore for data to become tangled, causing all functions to suddenly cease. Users can become frustrated with this, assuming that nothing can be done or that professional aid will instead be needed. It often won’t be, however — if the system is simply rebooted.

Turning your computer off is the most valuable troubleshooting method you can utilize. By allowing the entire platform to shut itself down (resting then for at least twenty seconds), you can ensure that the majority of problems will be solved. This occurs because functions are able to erase previous commands and can restructure themselves. All applications will begin once more. This provides the necessary speed and connections needed to complete tasks.

It must be noted that turning the system off is not a guarantee of success. Complicated concerns — such as corrupted data or viruses — can’t be so easily solved. The standard worries, however, can often be undone. And this is vital for users who can’t spare the time (or dollars) to seek out professional support.

Understanding Skills and Limitations: Troubleshooting

There can be no questions without answers. There can be no riddles without solutions. This is the logic that guides you — with all complications able to be solved through simple common sense. All causes have effects, and you wish to discover them. This is the intention of troubleshooting: with a computer examined for its faults and problems eventually solved. No signal is too weak for you to decipher. No wire will prove to be too tangled. You have complete faith in your abilities.

Those abilities, however, are not yet fully formed — and the result of your troubleshooting attempts can therefore be disastrous.

It’s forever been recommended that users learn to master their systems, to gain control over components. Such control demands time, however, and too often do individuals simply lack the necessary hours (or patience) to study what they must. This leads them to form only basic understandings of computers — which is enough to decipher some problems, but it can’t compensate for the complexities that are certain to come.

It is strongly suggested therefore that individuals — like yourself — recognize their limitations. Troubleshooting is not a simple process. It demands skills, and these can’t always be earned quickly. Trying to battle hard-drives, software failures and more can be a challenge: with computers potentially ruined by inept solutions and clumsy patches.

All users must know their own strengths, as well as weaknesses. And, when these have been surpassed, professional help must instead be sought. The cost of this may seem worrisome, but the results will at least be guaranteed — rather than possibly ending in a broken system and a bruised ego.

Installation Concerns: Troubleshooting Basics

The process was meant to be an easy one: software had been selected; an installation had been conducted; and the rewards were meant to be immediate.

Such rewards haven’t yet appeared, however. They’ve instead been replaced to empty folders and error messages. And you are… baffled.

You shouldn’t be — because the installation process is not always so simply defined. Complications can (and often will) occur. Battling them therefore requires an understanding of the most common causes of failure and how to address them:

Compatibility Concerns

Source codes are not universal. Their intentions are unique; their languages are diverse; and they are meant to be applied only to specific platforms. It’s to be expected therefore that a failed installation is due to a lack of compatibility. All users — including you — must be aware of the requirements of every program. The age, memory capabilities and available hard-drive space of a computer reflects its ability to accept certain functions. These must all be noted before installation is begun.

Improper Installations

Rules are meant to be followed — even as rebellion seems to be a far more satisfying choice. The (often tedious) steps of installation must be adhered to: with every procedure done as requested and every service agreement understood. Refusing to read instructions can result in software that is not attached to the hard-drive, but is instead lost in obscurity. All users must recognize directions and do as commanded.

These are the most frequent complications of software installation. Troubleshooting them is — thankfully — an easy task, however. Users should be able to overcome all difficulties with simple research and directions.

Troubleshooting: Slow Speeds

It’s the slow creep of commands, the tedious summons of tasks. Your computer is bordering on the unresponsive, is struggling to offer support. Its speeds are sluggish; its reactions are weak; and you’re tempted to slam your hand against the keyboard, wondering if that will force a system back to life.

It won’t — and understanding this is essential. There are reasons for your computer’s dragging functions, and learning to recognize these is imperative if you wish to find relief:

Lack of Space

Hard-drives aren’t infinite. All of the programs that you shove into your system demand space, and eventually that space becomes too miniscule. Operations can slow; tasks can demand too much effort; and your computer can become unresponsive. You should note the amount of storage left on your hard-drive as soon as processors seemed taxed.

Corrupted Files

Not all software is worthy. Some programs are instead defined to poorly constructed codes and corrupted bracketing. And, when these files try to insert themselves within your hard-drive, they can cause complications — such as lagging speeds. A computer will try to compensate for them, but the result will often be slowed operations. All downloads should be examined therefore to see if any aren’t functioning.

Outdated System

Your computer is a beloved companion. It’s also, however, antiquated. The years have offered many valuable experiences with a keyboard. Now, though, those experiences are being undone by dragging tasks and applications. Systems that are old (dating over six years) can often only offer arthritic functions. The components are simply exhausted and must be replaced.
